Taking a Break

Although I truly am a “people person,” I find that I have my moments when I cherish my quiet time and I am okay with taking a break from everything. Over the years, I’ve found myself using my quiet time more wisely by resting and doing nothing—and feeling really good about it!

But if I’m being honest, it has been really hard for me the last 6 months to find peace. The peace that comes from being by yourself, with room to create and explore. I feel comfortable sharing this with you because I know I am not the only one.

The pandemic is almost behind us, but now we are left with all the broken pieces that we need to put back together. In the beginning, I was determined not to return to that pre-pandemic life of being extremely busy and overwhelmed. But, for some reason, trying to get reacclimated has felt even more busy and overwhelming.

So I did the only thing that I know how to do. I sat still and created a visual in my mind of what I wanted to create. I asked myself these 3 questions:
What do I think?
What do I feel?
What do I imagine?

Then, I turned each of these answers into affirmations. I felt my energy restored and that paved the way for growth and creativity.

If you share all or any part of what I am going through, I invite you to remember that you have control over your life. Remember a time when you overcame an obstacle and made it through to the other side. All things are working for your good.

So here’s my recommendation for you to start moving again: be gentle with yourself. Remember that what you THINK you CREATE, what you FEEL you ATTRACT, and what you IMAGINE you BECOME.
